A case study prepared for the LIVCD project — the Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development programme, a five-year USAID/Feed the Future initiative implemented by DAI. Its objective was to measure the impact of LIVCD’s intervention on the honey value chain in Lebanon and how it upgraded the sector since 2011. The report maps production, aggregation, and market stages, then assesses results: beekeepers up 14%, production up 30%, exports up 87.7%, 144 jobs created, and the Arab world’s first queen-breeding centre — with $1.7 million invested yielding roughly $11 million in additional honey output.
