Vice President
Yasser Akkaoui is Vice President of the Lebanese Economic Association. He is Managing Director of Executive Magazine, the Beirut-based monthly covering the economy, business, and public policy, which he has led since 2001, and Chairman of Capital Concept, an ESG and sustainable finance consultancy he founded in 2005.
A long-standing voice on corporate governance and responsible business practice in Lebanon and the region, he has taught at the American University of Beirut as a part-time instructor since 2004. Through Executive Magazine he has shaped public debate on Lebanon’s economic and financial trajectory over more than two decades, and through Capital Concept he advises institutions on governance, sustainability, and ESG integration.
He holds an Executive MBA from ESCP Business School and an MBA in Corporate Governance from ESA Business School, both completed in 2001, following a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics from The American University of Paris and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Concordia University in Montreal.
