Board Accountant
Sara Zeineddine is a Board Member of the Lebanese Economic Association and an economist with extensive experience in economic and social development, public policy reform, macro-forecasting, and medium-term fiscal frameworks. She is currently an Economist with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
She has worked at the heart of Lebanon’s public financial management reform, serving as Local Counterpart Economist on the Fiscal Management Reform Project at the Ministry of Finance, where she contributed to macro-fiscal analysis, policy assessments, and the maintenance of the Ministry’s macro-financial forecasting model. As Reform Manager with DAI, she led political economy analysis and the design of technical assistance interventions in support of the Government of Lebanon, and later consulted on a mobile education programme in Mauritania. Her earlier work includes education economics with the Education Sector Development Secretariat, research on gender inequality and women’s entrepreneurship for UN-ESCWA, and scaling and advocacy management for the International Rescue Committee’s Ahlan Simsim early childhood programme.
She holds a Diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées in Public Administration from the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP), and a Master’s degree in Economic Policies and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Her Master’s thesis proposed a competition law addressing cartels in Lebanon.
